Lisa A. Kirschenbaum is a professor of history at West Chester University. She is the author of three books: Small Comrades: Revolutionizing Childhood in Soviet Russia, 1917-1932 (Routledge 2000); The Legacy of the Siege of Leningrad, 1941-1995: Myth, Memories, and Monuments (Cambridge UP 2006); and International Communism and the Spanish Civil War: Solidarity and Suspicion (Cambridge UP 2015). She is currently working on examining Soviet-American relations through the prism of Ilf and Petrov's 1935 American road trip.
