The International Council for Central and East European Studies and the Canadian Association of Slavists are dedicated to providing a safe space for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, nationality, race, or religion, and strive to foster a space for intellectual exploration that is welcoming to all and free from any form of discrimination, harassment, bullying, or retaliation.

We urge all participants to treat each other with respect and consideration to create a collegial, inclusive, and professional environment. Inappropriate actions, statements based on individual characteristics of any kind, disruptive behavior, or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Participants must abide by this code of conduct in all virtual and professional activities associated with the conference. Sanctions for behavior that violates these principles may include expulsion from the event.
