Irina Barclay

Dr. Irina Y. Barclay,  Professor of Russian and Russian Literature at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, is a former Boris Yeltsin Presidential Scholar and was active in an organization headed by Mikhail Gorbachev. Since arriving in America to teach at Appalachian State University,  she has published more than 25 articles,  attended Russian and Slavic conferences around the world, translated and published: Twenty Years in a Siberian Gulag.
