Alena Heinritz

Alena Heinritz completed her B.A. and M.A. in Slavic Studies and Comparative Literature at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (Germany) and obtained her PhD at Karl Franzens University in Graz and Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen. In her dissertation “Postkommunistische Schreibweisen. Formen der Darstellung des Kommunismus in Romanen zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts” she examined the representation of communism in post-communist literature. This dissertation will be published in 2021 by Universitätsverlag Winter, Heidelberg. She is now pursuing a postdoctoral project on the interrelationship between literature and work/labour at the Department of Comparative Literature, University of Innsbruck.
