University of Nottingham
I am a graduate student in history at the University of Nottingham (UK). My research is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. My thesis focuses on population politics in the Brezhnev era Soviet Union, and the provisional title of my thesis is ‘A Populous Nation? The Political Use of Demography in the USSR 1964-1982.’ The study combines archival methods with oral history interviews and memoirs. I am currently in the second year of my three-year doctorate. I also completed my MA (Social Science Research Methods) at Nottingham and before this my BA (Russian and Political Science) at the University of Birmingham (UK).
