Francesco Leoncini
Francesco Leoncini (Venice,1946), graduated with honours in Political Sciences at the University of Padua and started his research activity under the guidance of Leo Valiani. Since 1971 he has worked at the Faculty of Humanities of the University Ca' Foscari in Venice, where he was Professor of Slavic History and History of Central Europe and founder 1998 of the Masaryk's Seminar (present address: Via Seitz 26 - I - 31100 Treviso).
He was a scholar of the Collegium Carolinum. Forschungsstelle fuer die boehmischen Laender in Munich. He is a member of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Osteuropakunde in Berlin. He is on the International Board of the following publications: Historicky Casopis (Slovak Academies of Sciences, Bratislava), Poligrafi (Primorska University Koper, Slovenia), Crisia (Muzeul Tarii Crisurilor, Oradea, Romania), Valahian Journal of Historical Studies (Valahia University of Targoviste, Romania).
Since 2003 he is honorary member of the Masarykova Spolecnost in Prague.
