Dr Olha Voznyuk

Olha Voznyuk earned her master’s degree on Ukrainian studies at the Ivan Franko National University of Ukraine and on Polish studies at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland). She defended her PhD in comparative literature studies under the topic "The Vision of Ukraine in Polish Emigration Literature" (focusing on Jerzy Stempowski and Józef Lobodowski works) at the Academy of Science of Ukraine in 2010. Meanwhile, she attended a postgraduate program for young researchers at the University of Warsaw (Poland). She was a Visiting Fellow at the Warsaw University Institute of Polish Culture from 2006 to 2007 while obtaining an International Visegrad Fund Grant. In 2006 she received a scholarship from Harvard Ukrainian Summer University, and in 2008 continued her research project funded by the UNESCO Polish National Commission in Poland. She worked at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and later at the National Ivan-Franko University as a lecturer for Ukrainian as a foreign language. Since 2013 she works on a new project “Galicia as an Anthology Project in Texts and Images” at the University of Vienna, where she was working as a researcher. She attended IWL summer programs at the University of Copenhagen 2017 and at Harvard University 2019. As part of her project she focuses on “Galician literature” represented by multilingual and multimedia texts from the 19th till the 21st centuries.
