Samuel Foster

Samuel Foster is a Visiting Fellow at the University of East Anglia and the auhtor of Yugoslavia in the British Imagination: Peace, War and Peasants before Tito (2021). His research focuses on the the Balkans in transnational history, with a particuar emphasis on the 'era of the First World War' on which he has written and presented exstensively including contributions to BBC World Service and the International Encyclopedia of the First World War. Samuel is also a co-founder and current convener for the 'BASEES Study Group for Minority History' that seeks to promote historical schoalrship on minority and marginalized groups in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
