Oleksa Drachewych

Oleksa Drachewych is a part-time Assistant Professor at the University of Western Ontario. He is a specialist in global history, particularly focusing on the history of the Communist International, Soviet foreign policy, the global influence of the Bolshevik Revolution in the 20th Century, and 20th century anti-imperialism, civil rights, and human rights movements. He is the author of The Communist International, Anti-Imperialism and Racial Equality in British Dominions (Routledge, 2018) and co-editor of Left Transnationalism: The Communist International and the National, Colonial and Racial Questions (McGill-Queen's University Press, 2020). He is currently working on a manuscript on the subject of the global influence of the Bolshevik Revolution on civil and human rights movements in the 20th century, under contract with McGill-Queen's University Press.
