Julie A Cassiday

Julie Cassiday is the Willcox B. and Harriet M. Adsit Professor of Russian at Williams College, where she teaches in the Department of German and Russian. Her research focuses on performance in Russian culture, and she is the author of The Enemy on Trial: Early Soviet Courts on Stage and Screen (Northern Illinois University Press, 2000) and co-editor of Russian Performances: Word, Object, Action (University of Wisconsin Press, 2018) with Julie Buckler and Boris Wolfson. Her current research focuses on gender and sexuality in Putin's Russia.
