PhD Candidate
University College London

I am a final-year doctoral candidate in Film Studies at University College London (UK) working on my thesis provisionally titled ‘Spaces of exclusion, places of inclusion. Representing Roma, Gypsy and Traveller identities in contemporary European cinema’, supervised by Dr Deborah Martin (UCL) and Prof Michael Stewart (UCL). I'm based at the Centre for Multidisciplinary and Intercultural Inquiry (CMII) which is a hub for innovative, interdisciplinary research in Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences and Education & Health Sciences. My work and film analysis is informed by various strands of theories and concepts from fields, among others, such as Human Geography, Gender Studies, Feminist Studies, Queer Theory, and so on. I'm particularly interested in transnational film theory and decolonial option in Central and East European context, and marginal identities and cultures and their representation in relation to space, place, and time in film.
