Jonas Loeffler

Jonas Loeffler is a third year doctoral student at the University of Cologne (Germany) and a member of the a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne. He holds a scholarship of the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes). Jonas studied classical guitar and musicology at Basel Conservatoire (B.A., 2012, M.A., 2014) and the University of Basel (B.A., 2015), Switzerland, and at Linacre College, University of Oxford (M.St. Musicology, 2016). At Oxford, he was a recipient of the Clarendon Scholarship as well as a grant from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD). Besides his scholarly activities, he works as a translator from Georgian, having published, amongst other things, a translation of the Georgian Futurist/Dada journal H2SO4 and a collection of short stories for learners of the language .
