The Southern Front: Regional initiatives of Soviet Uzbekistan with India and Afghanistan during Perestroika

In 2017, I obtained a PhD in political history at IMT Institute for Advanced Studies (Lucca) in cotutelle with the Higher School of Economics (Moscow) defending a dissertation entitled "The crisis of Soviet power in Central Asia: The ‘Uzbek cotton affair,’ 1975-1991". The research was based on primary, secondary and tertiary sources collected in Russia, Europe and Uzbekistan. For my research, I spent several visiting periods at Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia), Institute of History of Academy of Sciences of Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and Aarhus University (Aarhus, Denmark). Since 2012, I am also collaborating in teaching Contemporary History, History of International Relations, and Theory and History of Political Parties and Movements and since 2017, I had been lecturer in Russian History and Politics at LUISS Guido Carli. I was a postdoctoral fellow at The International Centre for the History and Sociology of World War II and Its Consequences at NRU-HSE in  Moscow (2017-2019), Università degli studi Roma Tre in Rome (2019-2020), and LUISS Guido Carli (2020-2021) and now I am an Assistant professor at the Università degli Studi di Napoli L'Orientale in Naples teaching "History of Contemporary Russia" and "History of Russia and Eastern Europe"
