Dr. Thomas Lahusen's current research focuses on
the study of cinema as historical source. He is partner in Chemodan
Films, which has produced several documentary films on Russia, including
The Province of Lost Film (2006), The Uprising (2006), and Komsomolsk mon amour (2007). His work has been featured at a number of international film festivals and public screenings.
A prolific writer, Dr. Lahusen is the author of more than 50 articles and the following books:

How Life Writes the Book: Real Socialism and Socialist Realism in Stalin's Russia (Cornell Univervity Press: 1997)
