Concordia will be hosting the fifth annual Digital Skill-Share Days event, following the positive feedback from the university community on last year’s edition. This year’s event will take place on February 11 and 12, 2025, offering both in-person and online learning opportunities.

The event kicks off on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, at the 4th Space in the Atrium of the JW McConnell Building. The second day, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, will be entirely online, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

Open to both staff and faculty, the event encourages active participation, collaboration with colleagues, and opportunities to present insights and experiences from their own work.

  • The 2025 Digital Skill-Share Days event focuses on the sharing of knowledge and digital skills amongst employees and how this benefits faculty and staff in their daily work activities.
  • Staff and faculty are encouraged to set aside the time in their agendas to take full advantage of the sessions scheduled over the two-day period allocated to digital skill development.
  • The event sessions offer employees opportunities to share their discoveries and experiences with new tools and platforms with their colleagues in an informal and collaborative environment – peer-to-peer learning is a key element of this event.
  • The Digital Skill-Share Days event will offer employees engaging opportunities to focus on areas of learning most relevant to them.
  • The fifth annual Digital Skill-Share Days event continues to emphasize the university’s commitment to build and improve on the digital capabilities of its employees and look at new tools beyond the suite of Microsoft 365 apps.
  • The February 11 and 12 sessions will include topics like best practices for working with AI to create course materials, exploring the multifaceted challenges of deepfakes, strengthening your LinkedIn profile and professional presence, power tips to enhance productivity with Office 365, practical strategies to use data effectively in Moodle and much more.
  • The Digital Skill-Share Days event offers online interactive sessions that will require advance registration. In addition, there are learn-on-your-own videos for employees who want to learn at their own pace. More information about the learning sessions is available on the Digital Skill-Share Days event site.
  • Ensure that employees are signed up to Udemy and have activated their Udemy account - Udemy sessions will require participants to access their Udemy account.
