Morten Frølund

I am a PhD fellow at the Department of Sociology, Environmental and Business Economics at University of Southern Denmark. Here I am doing a mainly ethnographic project on the configurations of the senses and memories in relation to artworks located in the rural landscape. With this I intend to investigate how spatial micropower, territorializations and inclusions/exclusions are performed around encounters with artworks and thus impacts the spatial and cultural circumstances for living and belonging in the rural. In short, I try to explore the role of art and culture in spatial justice in rural areas, rather than seeing art as something neutral or good per se in the transformation of the rural landscape.
