I am attending Uncommon Senses IV to enhance my senior capstone project which broadly explores neurodivergent (ND) world views through multi-sensory storying telling praxes. Utilizing world-building, multi-species ethnographic fiction and sensory narratives, I intend to develop a multi-sensory, mixed-media story project that troubles the neurotypical gaze; centers the immersive gaze of neurodivergence and attends to ND temporalities. Additionally, I'm interested in learning more about what might be "affect-related synesthesia." Why do I feel like I am physically floating— a proprioceptive and vestibular sensation—when I see (or hear) something beautiful?
