Pelgrims Claire is an MSCA-IF Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Urbanism at the Université Gustave Eiffel, France. Her PhD thesis (ULB 2020) analyses imaginaries of fast and slow mobilities in the evolution of Brussels mobility infrastructure since the middle of the 20th c. Her postdoctoral research focuses on expanded understanding of mobility infrastructure in relation to gender, aestheticism and functionality. She is working on gender and bicycling aesthetics, comparing gender construction processes across cycling practices, equipment and infrastructure in France and Switzerland (SENCyclo).
