Helen Jury

Art Psychotherapist
University College, London / Doctoral Research student

My research is on the touch and handling of materials and objects in Art Psychotherapy as a distinctive therapeutic medium. I work clinically in Student Services, in independent practice and with a variety of population groups. I also lecture and deliver workshops on MA Art Psychotherapy clinical trainings and on masters courses in other disciplines. On the UCL MASC in Creative Health, I work with the students exploring the value of therapeutic interventions (as opposed to working clinically in therapy) and the relationship to boundaries, ethics and diverse client groups. I supervise Allied Health Professionals working in mental health charities, museum work, peri and postnatal, childhood trauma, and adult acute services.

I am also a practising artist based in the UK and Catalunya, Spain.
