Istemi Ozkan

Dr. Istemi Ozkan obtained his masters and PhD degrees in structural engineering from the university of Ottawa in 2007. Following his graduation, he worked as a consultant for oil/gas pipeline companies in Edmonton, Alberta for 7 years. Since 2014, he has been with National Research Council Canada (NRC) as a research officer. Dr. Ozkan’s current focus area is impacts of climate change on structural behavior of bridges and satellite based structural health monitoring of infrastructure. He is also the lead of Climate Resilient Dams theme of the Climate Resilient Built Environment (CRBE) initiative of NRC.
