Ehsan Kianfar

I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. I completed my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Engineering at Sharif University of Technology (SUT) in 2002 and 2004, respectively. My master's thesis was about the application of Endurance time method in seismic evaluation of structures and evaluation of damage indices in nonlinear analysis of structures. I also completed my PhD in 2019 in Sharif University of Technology on the structural behavior of rammed earth structures. I worked in an engineering consulting company in filed of oil and gas for more than 16 years and has an extensive experience in the analysis and design of industrial buildings.

I joined University of New Brunswick in September 2019 to pursue a second PhD in the area of vibration based damaged detection of FRP reinforced structures.
