Sk Amjad Hossain
Biography,
Mr. Hossain received his M.A.Sc (Masters of Applied Science) degree in Civil Engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 2006. At present, he is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in structural and earthquake engineering at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. He has more than 15 years of experience in structural engineering design in North America. He is a Registered Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas and the State of Washington, USA. He is a former Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta, Canada. He worked as an adjunct professor in the Department of Construction Management at the University of Houston. He worked as a teaching and research assistant in the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
He has some publications in International Conferences and Journal. Mr. Hossain joined as a full-time faculty member (Lecturer) at the University of Texas, Tyler in 2019. He also attended some International Conferences as an invited speaker.
His research interest includes Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering, Structural Health Monitoring, Earthquake Resistant Reinforced Concrete Building design, Reinforced Concrete Shear Wall Building Analysis and Design, Matrix Analysis Method, and Finite Element Method.
