Ossie Michelin
Ossie Michelin is a Labrador Inuk journalist, editor, and filmmaker from the community of North West River, NL. A graduate from Concordia University's Journalism Program, his career spans over 15 years with a focus on Northern and Indigenous news and events. He has worked in many mediums from print, to podcasting, to film and television news. Growing up surrounded by artists, musicians, and performers Ossie’s work has always gravitated towards covering the arts. Serving briefly as an editor-at-large with Canadian Art Magazine before the publication shut down in 2021, Ossie brought many Inuit and 2SLGBTQ+ stories to the forefront. Currently, Ossie is serving as guest editor for the Summer 2025 Issue of Inuit Art Quarterly which will be focusing on celebrating Queer Inuit Art.
