Krista Ulujuk Zawadski
Krista Ulujuk Zawadski is originally from Igluligaarjuk and now resides in Kangirłiniq, NU. Krista is an Arctic anthropologist, curator, researcher, and maker who mobilizes an Indigenous research methodology in her work. Spending time with cultural materials in homes and in museum collections, Krista uses the piqutiit and piqutituqait as a catalyst to foster engagement between Inuit knowledge holders and younger generations. Taking the same approach to art and artmaking, Krista uses piqutiit and piqutituqait in personal and museum collections to inspire her creative practice.
