YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport is located just 20 minutes from downtown. Upon arrival, you’ll find everything you need, including tourist information and various options for making your way downtown: car rentals, Uber, taxis, airport shuttles, and the bus. The 747 Express bus operates 24/7/365 and will get you to one of the nine downtown stops in 40 to 60 minutes (depending on traffic). If you are staying at the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel, the nearest 747 Express bus stop is at René-Lévesque / Stanley (1 minute walk to the hotel.)

By train

The VIA Rail network connects many major cities to Montréal. The Gare centrale is located downtown and is connected to the Bonaventure metro station.

Accommodations

We have reserved a limited number of rooms at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel at a discounted rate for the symposium attendees. If you'd like to spend more time in Montreal, this rate is available for a few extra days before and after the conference (available from November 02-12). The rate is between $229 to $379 CAD per night depending on the room rate you choose. The hotel is located at 1201 Boulevard Rene-Levesque West Montreal, Quebec H3B 2L7.

These rooms are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. There are many other centrally located hotels and Airbnb in downtown Montreal.

Montreal public transit

The Montreal metro (subway) system is incredibly efficient and user-friendly, with just four lines connecting the downtown centre to major tourist sites, bus stops and train stations. The metro operates daily from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. (1:30 a.m. on Saturdays). The average wait time between trains is eight minutes and three minutes during rush hour.
