Eric Tchouaket
Dr. Eric Tchouaket is a statistician, health economist, and expert in public and global health. He holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of Montreal, a Master’s (Master II) in Health Economics from Paris-Dauphine University, and a Diploma in Statistics from the Sub-Regional Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (ISSEA) in Yaoundé. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Sherbrooke in the economic evaluation of complex health interventions.
He is a full professor at the Université du Québec en Outaouais in the Department of Nursing Sciences. He also holds the Canada Research Chair in the Economics of Infection Prevention and Control (CRC-EconoPCI). He is recognized for his expertise in health economics, economic evaluation, health services organization, global health, advanced quantitative analysis, and mixed-methods research.
Professor Tchouaket leads and collaborates on numerous national and international research projects funded by agencies such as the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Grand Challenges Canada, the Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship, as well as bilateral and multilateral partnerships involving Europe, Africa, and North America. His work has resulted in numerous scientific publications, presentations at international conferences, and knowledge transfer activities for policymakers, healthcare institutions, and international organizations. Through his academic and scientific leadership, he actively contributes to improving the efficiency, equity, and sustainability of health systems.
