Iryna earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry in Kyiv, Ukraine, and subsequently joined the Institut de Chimie Organique et Analytique in France as a postdoctoral researcher. There her work focused on metal-catalyzed reactions and the development of innovative synthetic methodologies for novel heterocyclic systems. She later became a postdoctoral fellow at the Université de Sherbrooke, contributing to an interdisciplinary project aimed at developing new antibiotics against resistant bacteria, in close collaboration with chemistry, biology and pharmacology teams. She now works in the pharmaceutical industry at a CRO as a Research Scientist, parterning with clients worldwide and contributing to drug discover and development across multiple stages of the R&D pipeline.
