Workshop 1 - Alexandre Rochette - NEB - Golden Gate Workshop for graduate students only - max 20 participants

While cloning has typically been a time-consuming process in the past, advances in both technologies and reagents have enabled the process to take much less time. Race to NEB for the highest quality products that save valuable time!

Come learn about how NEB is pushing the limits of GoldenGate assembly, and get some insight into the future of cloning all while doing a little pipetting of your own.


Workshop 2 - Benjamin Scott - SynBio Canada, "Resume workshop and job hunting for scientists" - max 30 participants

Practical tips and strategies for building a targeted and memorable resume, when and how to job search, and how to approach interviewing. This workshop is meant for any scientist looking to improve their job hunting skills, and also for mentors looking to help their colleagues with professional development.


Workshop 3 - Andrea Mendoza - "Introduction to Scientific Entrepreneurship by V1 Studio" - max 50 participants

In this session, we will help you demystify common assumptions around entrepreneurship. The objective is to help you reframe your thinking to highlight the potential of your work outside the context of academia and introduce how you can get started using entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset in your research. We will look at some examples of scientific entrepreneurship and introduce a practical tool to get you started.
