Elena Boldyreva

My name is Elena Boldyreva. I am a certified science teacher (Biology, Chemistry) and a PhD student at the University of Toronto. My previous research was in biology, food safety (MSc) and veterinary science (PhD). My PhD project is on the role of a learning community in science classroom to support students' scientific argumentation, their understandings of the Nature of Science, and exploration of their STEM identities. I am also an organizer of the Biology, Biotech&Medicine Group in Toronto. I am looking forward to meeting colleagues and exploring new areas in science education.
