Mr. Manfred Klein
Mr. Klein is an energy consultant with 33 years of experience with the Canadian federal government in industrial energy and environmental policy, regulation and research (1980-2013). Before semi-retirement he spent seven years at the National Research Council on industrial gas turbine research and alternative fuels, and 16 years with Environment Canada with innovative industrial and energy-related emission standards, cogeneration policy, environmental assessments, industry training, and taxation incentives. Mr. Klein is a member of several organizations, including Distributed Energy Canada, the ISO TC192 standards committee for gas turbine systems, the Canadian 'Gas Turbines for Energy Network' (former Chair of GTEN), the international ASME/IGTI Gas Turbine Institute (former Chair of the Environment and Regulatory Affairs Committee), and an Emeritus member of the European Turbine Network.
He has a Bach. Degree in Mech. Engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa (1980).
