Have you heard about Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) but are not sure how to interact with these tools? This session will provide an introductory overview of "prompt engineering": the process of crafting and structuring text to effectively communicate with generative AI models. Core concepts and best practices of prompt engineering will also be discussed. Live demos will be used to demonstrate various prompting techniques while exploring text generating AI tools like ChatGPT (and/or Perplexity), as well as image generators such as DALL-E 3 image generator via Bing AI.
