Welcoming new employees to Concordia and having an effective onboarding were two key priorities that were met when we went live with our NEW onboarding module 2.0 at the launch of Unity in November 2021. Open textbooks can be fun, interactive, and foster accessible and multimodal learning. In this session, we will offer a soft-launch of our Guide to Pressbooks at Concordia University. Beyond looking at highlights from innovative uses of Pressbooks, we will explore interactive features, accessibility, and multimedia features of Pressbooks. Participants will get the chance to test out Pressbooks for themselves.
