Concordia University's 22nd annual Library Research Forum will be a two-day event, with presentations taking place virtually on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 and in-person on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 at the Loyola Jesuit Hall and Conference Centre. The annual Research Forum provides an opportunity for librarians, archivists, graduate students, teaching faculty, and information professionals to describe and promote their completed or in-progress research, practical case studies or projects. The Forum also provides a venue for researchers to seek suggestions for enhancing their research interests, to identify potential new partners for projects, to test the effectiveness of their undertakings, and to promote research in academic libraries. Registration is free. This year’s plenary speaker will be Aaron Johnson, Principal Investigator at Concordia’s Vision Lab and Associate Dean for Research and Infrastructure in Concordia’s Faculty of Arts and Science, as well as Resident Researcher at the Centre de recherche interdisciplinaire en réadaptation du Montréal métropolitain (CRIR), whose research in human vision spans a range of areas from low-level computational models of vision, to applied research in the fields of marketing, aviation, and low-vision rehabilitation.
