Quebec’s English School Boards: Situation Update and Analysis

Speaker: Joe Ortona, President of the Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA)

Joe Ortona, president of the Quebec English School Boards Association (QESBA), will present on the current state of affairs, the immediate and foreseeable challenges and impact several bills over the last 5 years have had on school boards. QESBA represents the nine English-language school boards (100,000 students in the youth, Adult Education and vocational training). As such, QESBA plays a key role in the vitality of both the Quebec’s minority-language education continuum, and the English-speaking community as a whole.
