Originally from the Netherlands, Jacqueline van de Geer crossed the Atlantic Ocean in 2005 to live and work in Montréal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in both the visual and performance arts. Van de Geer draws inspiration from themes of heritage, family, democracy, war and the politics of exclusion. Her practice explores performance, movement, the visual arts and more. Essential to her creative process is developing rapport, sharing the excitement and surprises of the artistic discoveries uncovered in collaboration.
