Joanne Pattison-Meek is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at Bishop’s University. Her research interests include pluralist citizenship education in rural schools, innovation in the teaching practicum, and mentorship of new teachers. Her current research project, funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture–FRQSC, examines how teachers support their students to explore and understand the cultural realities of growing up as rural youth in Québec communities.
