In February 2024, Canada’s first Chief Accessibility Officer, Stephanie Cadieux, released her first report to the Minister of Diversity, Inclusion, and Persons with Disabilities. In addition to updates on progress being made under the Accessible Canada Act (ACA), recommendations for further action, and examples of promising initiatives, the report includes a detailed overview of the accessibility framework created by the ACA. To learn more about the framework, visit the section of the report entitled “Accessibility in Canada.” It can be accessed via the Table of Contents at this link: Everyone’s business: Accessibility in Canada - Report from the Chief Accessibility Officer, 2023 - Canada.ca.
The report is provided online, as a PDF, and in ASL. Alternative formats of the report are available upon request, as indicated on the web page.
