The conference will feature keynote speakers, panels, workshops and presentations of research findings. We are hoping to bring together approximately 65 participants that include representatives from the government, the education and community sectors. This will include academics, practitioners and policy-makers from Quebec, Canada and abroad. The networking opportunities and presentation of research facilitated by this event will enable us to realize our main goal: sharing experience and tested strategies for encouraging the development of healthy and sustainable vitality for Black and African Visible Minoritycommunities, linguistic or otherwise.
The intent of the conference is bring to together diverse content and people to support evidence-based action and enduring networks that positively impact the socio-economic growth of our communities. The recent revelation that in a linguistic Nationalist Quebec English speaking Blacks are worse off than most other minorities is of great concern.
