Christiane Meyer

Following a career as a pharmacist and in cancer research, Christiane is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Individualized Program. Christiane’s research investigates the effects of chronodisruption such as shift work and chronic jet lag on the female endocrine homeostasis and emotional and reward-related behavior under the direction of the supervision of Professor Shimon Amir. She believes that there is a fundamental lack of knowledge specifically for females, as predominately male models are used to examine basic mechanisms relevant for the development of therapeutic approaches, with severe implications regarding the applicability in females.
