Penny Ellison is a native Montrealer and second of three generations to attend Concordia University, graduating with an MBA in 1980. In the early 1980s, Penny accepted a LTA position as a corporate finance lecturer at Concordia University, and has also taught at UQAM, McGill, and Bishop's Universities on a part-time basis. But Penny's real love is personal financial planning – hence a third career as an independent financial planner since 1997.
As a pioneer in eLearning, Penny has worked with eConcordia for over a decade in the development and delivery of FINA200, Personal Finance, as well as writing and teaching a Federal Income Tax Seminar offered in the early 2000s. With decades of financial planning experience, Penny continues her association with Concordia and the Canadian Securities Institute through on-line offerings and webinars.
