Bean to bar Chocolate maker AMANGO Cacao is a fair trade and organic chocolate factory whose mission is to offer a quality product to consumers concerned about the environment and the well-being of producers.
Amango Cacao's story begins with Gogbeu and Lydia, who both worked in the chocolate industry in the Ivory Coast. Gogbeu was the director of a cocoa exporting cooperative of more than 2,000 producers, while Lydie worked for a cocoa exporting company. Together they dreamed of helping to build strong cooperatives and providing quality of life for cocoa farmers. In Montreal, they created Amango CACAO to help ensure fair and profitable treatment for producers. Their ambition is to buy directly from cooperatives or families of selected producers in order to offer a very high quality chocolate to environmentally conscious consumers.
