Niamh NicGhabhann

Dr Niamh NicGhabhann is Assistant Dean, Research at the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Course Director of the MA Festive Arts programme (Irish World Academy of Music and Dance) at the University of Limerick. Her research focuses on religion, public space and architecture. Her monograph, Medieval Ecclesiastical Buildings in Ireland, 1789-1915: Building on the Past, was published by Four Courts Press in 2015. Her current project, ‘Religious Spaces in Transition’, which examines the construction and ongoing use of Roman Catholic devotional infrastructure in Ireland, has received funding from the Irish Research Council.
