Dr. Neus Lorenzo is currently the Vice President for Research at the Catalan Society of Pedagogy at the Institute of Catalan Studies (Societat Catalana de Pedagogia, Institut d'Estudis Catalans). She also teaches at the University of Andorra and is a member of the "Llengua i Educació" Research Group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (LED, UAB). She is a co-founder, with Ray Gallon,  of The Transformation Society, in Prades (France), which develops strategies for humanist digital transformation and organizational learning, and researches the theory and practice of smart pedagogies. Ray and Neus are co-chairs of the Transformation Society and Information 4.0 Research and Development Group of the World Federation of Associations for Teacher Education (WFATE). They have authored or co-authored book chapters and articles published by Springer, IGI-Global, Routledge and Cambridge Scholars Publishing, among others, and she is an author and co-author of educational material and textbooks for Oxford University Press, Richmond-Santillana, Oceano, the OECD, McGraw Hill and others.

Neus is a former Inspector of Education and the former Subdirector General for Educational Transformation in the Catalan Ministry of Education.  She has also been Head of the Language Service and Head of the Foreign Language Service in the Department of Education in Catalonia. She has worked as a training adviser at the Council of Europe for Pestalozzi courses and as a trainer for the Anna Lindh Foundation in Amman (Jordan) and Alexandria (Egypt), and also for several Foundations in Spain (Fundación Telefónica, Fundació Bofill, Fundació Escoles Vedrunes). She has also been the Deputy Head for Assessment and Programs at the Inspectorate of Education in the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government), and she has represented the Spanish autonomies before the education committee of regions at the European Parliament.
