The Science behind Drugs: from Therapeutics to Illicits
Welcome to the second annual BOLD Science conference! BOLD Science is a day-long conference that includes presentations and workshops. The goal of the conference is to educate CEGEP and undergraduate university students on scientific literacy and the importance of cross-disciplinary research. The conference is organized by undergraduate students at Concordia University’s Science College.
The theme of this year’s BOLD Science conference is “The Science behind Drugs: from Therapeutics to Illicits.” The study and use of drugs is pervasive across all fields of science, from physics to psychology. Throughout the conference, we will hear from keynote speakers on the role of drugs in their scientific practices and discuss cross-disciplinary papers on drug discovery, testing, and usage. Ultimately, BOLD Science strives to unite students and professors, to teach and to learn about the multidisciplinary nature of science and the practices involved in scientific research.
Head over to the registration page to sign up for BOLD Science! Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in captivating workshops, led by the fellows of the Science College, and present what they learn in the form of a short data talk. Attendees can also choose to present their own research in the form of a virtual poster presentation. All students who attend the conference will receive a swag bag from the Science College, and select presenters will win prizes!
We can’t wait to (virtually) see you there!
