My Session Status

What:
Workshop
When:
9:30 AM, Saturday 18 May 2024 (1 hour 15 minutes)
Where:
- EV 2.645
Do you ever struggle or find difficulty in describing artwork during critiques? Do you worry about saying the wrong things? What if I told you that building on your accessibility awareness and intercultural perspectives can help you improve at critiques and teaching? In this workshop, we explore 'IDEA' (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) together, specifically the 'A' for  Access, through group activities. We will dissect the physical restrictions of spaces and learn to use descriptive words to outline the obstacles, developing the same descriptive skills for critiques. Be ready to discuss the limitations (sometimes advantages) of language, context, and personal experiences.
