Visual Impairment and Art is a visionary project born out of the friendship between Carolina, a visual artist, and Marie, a law student pursuing a Ph.D. in International Criminal Law while living with visual impairment. This journey began with countless hours of conversation and camaraderie during their shared living experience. Recognizing the potential for something beautiful, they embarked on a creative mission!
VIA’s  Mission:
Through art and dialogue, VIA sparks conversations surrounding visual impairment, cultivating profound empathy and enhancing understanding of diverse experiences. They explore others' journeys, embracing a range of perspectives. This commitment strengthens bonds and fosters empathy, while creativity and play inspire transformative stories. Via aims to cultivate inclusive, inviting spaces where everyone can be curious, share, and learn from one another's experiences.
Futur Projects:
Via also aims to collaborate with other groups, schools, and organizations using various forms of expression such as music, painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, dance, theatre, urban art, spoken word, poetry, and comedy.
To sum it up:
VIA strives to deepen understanding and inclusivity through playful and immersive experiences, inspiring participants to fully embrace their inherent creative expression and cultivate meaningful connections with themselves and others.
