Dr. Darine Ameyed

Darine Ameyed, Ph.D. in engineering, Software and Information Technologies (ÉTS-2017). She received a certificate in applied AI (Columbia university US-2019). She obtained her M.Sc. in Digital Art and Technology from the University Rennes 2 (U.R.2) (University of Upper Brittany, France) in 2010. She earned her M.Sc. Multimedia Engineering from the University Paris Est Marne la Vallée (U.P.E.M) (University of Paris 11, France) in 2008. She received a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Management from the Institut Supérieure de Gestion (I.S.G) (University of Tunis, Tunisia) in 2005. 

Her current role is the  AI Lead R&D, Advisory & Consulting, developing Quebec’s IA public sector strategy. She’s also an adjunct professor at Universuty of Chicoutimi at Québec and University of Sherbrooke. She is volunteer expert in United for Smart and Sustainable Cities (U4SSC)-International Telecommunication Union- ITU-United Nations. She has been a associate researcher at ÉTS (2019-2022) and scientific program and project manager at CIRODD (2015-2019), Co-founder and CEO of NyX-R (2015-2018), a tech advisor for tech and science-based startups. 

Tech-savvy and research-driven professional with comprehensive experience conducting research in prediction modeling, Context-Aware Systems, Cognitive IoT, Machine Learning, and Ambient Intelligence. Her research interests include too, Applied Artificial Intelligence (AAI), and IA safety and security, Human-Centered Computing, Data security and privacy in C-IoT platforms and computational sustainability. 

Skilled in developing innovative prototypes to demonstrate the business potentials of upcoming waves of C-IoT, artificial intelligence solution. Proven record of success in research and development technical transformation and architecture advisory to academia or industrial R&D collaborating with SME and large companies. Utilized skills and capabilities to develop and deploy yearly technology strategies and plans to improve competitiveness, efficiency, and quality through tech innovation strategic processes. On the other hand, she has a long multidisciplinary academic and industrial career in Canada, Europe, and Africa in the areas of system information, AI & C-IoT.
