Grace Lees-Maffei MA RCA FRHistS FRSA FHEA is Professor of Design History and Programme Director for DHeritage, the Professional Doctorate in Heritage, at the University of Hertfordshire (UK). She researches design mediation, domesticity, national identity and globalization in design. She is author of Design at Home: Domestic Advice Books in Britain and the USA since 1945 and co-author with Nicolas P. Maffei of Reading Graphic Design. She edited Writing Design: Words and Objects and Iconic Designs: 50 Stories about 50 Things and co-edited Made in Italyand Designing Worlds with Kjetil Fallan and The Design History Reader with Rebecca Houze.
