Josée Laplace is a postdoctoral fellow at McGill University, School of Information Studies, under the supervision of Professor Catherine Guastavino, and a member of Sounds in the City cross-sectorial partnership, as well as of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT). She has published in a number of collective works and journals, including Worship Sound Spaces. Architecture, Acoustics and Anthropology, C. Guillebaud & C. Lavandier (eds.), 2020, London & New York: Routledge. She is also an associate researcher at the Canada Research Chair in Urban Heritage (UQAM) and a board member of the Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada (SSAC).
