Clara May

University of Geneva - Switzerland

PhD candidate in art history at the University of Geneva (Switzerland).

I am working on the smells during the Eighteenth Century in France (Paris), especially on their relationship with architecture and interior decorations. This topic follows my Master thesis that aimed to consider the pots-pourris vases (porcelain perfume diffusers) produced at the Sèvres porcelain manufactory during the Eighteenth Century as a way to create an "olfactory decoration" in the french interiors.
